Brett holds an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Cape and has been involved in the Fire & Security industry for the past 30 years. He has held numerous management positions in leading companies, both local and international during this period and is currently the Managing Director of Technoswitch.

In addition to the above, Brett has been involved with SAQCC Fire since 2012 actively driving the development of formal Fire Qualifications for the industry, some of which are registered with SAQA. Brett occupied the position of Chairperson for the Detection & Gas division of SAQCC fire from 2021 through to 2024. He is currently the overall Chairperson of SAQCC Fire.
